Robert H. GRUBBS is currently the Victor and Elizabeth Atkins Professor of Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, where he has benn a faculty member since 1978. Before moving to Caltech, Bob was at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan from 1969 to 1978, where he achieved the rank of associate professor. In 2005, Bob was co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (with R. R. Schorck and Y. Chauvin) for his contributions to the field of olefin metathesis.
